Additionally, we encourage taking proactive measures to protect electronic devices, such as cataloging personal electronic databases using platforms like Immobilize (www.immobilize.net). It is also beneficial to utilize backup solutions to simplify and expedite data recovery.

Upon receiving a device, 2A Electronics conducts a thorough inspection of each item from our prospective customers. We meticulously record the item's electronic serial number (ESN). CheckMEND searches information from carriers, law enforcement agencies, and insurance companies to determine if a mobile device, tablet, or computer has been reported as lost or stolen. Only after confirming that the device is not lost or stolen do we proceed with inspecting the device for potential purchase and compensating our customers. 2A Electronics continually evaluates and updates its policies and procedures to ensure consumer protection. The occurrence of lost or stolen devices among those we receive is extremely rare. Our utilization of CheckMEND and collaboration with law enforcement serve as ongoing deterrents for individuals attempting to sell lost or stolen electronic devices to 2A Electronics. If we encounter devices that have been reported as lost or stolen, we promptly inform and cooperate with law enforcement in any subsequent investigation.

For iPhone owners, it is crucial to enable "Find My iPhone" as it enables customers to track and remotely erase data from their device if it has been misplaced, lost, or stolen. Apple customers can also utilize iCloud for remote data wiping on their devices. Furthermore, certain versions of Apple's iOS offer the option to remotely block a lost or stolen device.
